243 finds, 4 FTFs... Eek. Nowhere's near. There's somebody here in Utah that is in the 98% FTF club, or something like that. She ONLY goes for FTFs. I've never met her, and I don't know her screenname. She just works with my dad, who is also a cacher. |
Wow, I can't imagine only going after FTFs and ignoring the rest. I guess there might be certain advantages, as in:
1. You never have to open a rusted altoid tin.
2. You never have to try and sign a waterlogged logsheet.
3. There is actually some decent swag to trade for.
4. You don't feel the urge to grab 10 caches on the way home from work.
5. You don't have to keep your PQs constantly up to date since all you need to do is keep an eye on your email notifications.
Now the disadvantages that I see are:
1. You'll probably spend more on gas by going for only FTFs.
2. Your caching activity is dependent upon new caches being released.
3. You might miss out on some great caches.
4. The obsessive/compulsive strive to be FTF may have a negative impact on your health/life (i.e. midnight cache runs, eating lots of fast food, getting to work late, etc.)
I think I'll stick with just finding the occasional FTF. |

With my 4 FTF's today I will continue to remain over 10% for at least a while! I have 37 FTFs and 336 finds! |

25 out of 439 not even close but I think that I do qualify for the 10% DNF club. At least it seems like that on some days. |
