I just had a brief momentary scare a few minutes ago, I tried to get into google myself and was unable to but once I restarted my computer it started running? Don't know what caused that? |

This problem is isolated to some customers in the Cox service area in San Diego and is limited to google.com and a few other domains. The Cox people say they're "working on it", but don't have an estimated time frame. Frustrating!
Thanks for the links, Andre. The proxies worked to get us to Google, but they don't let you sign into an app like gmail. We ended up driving to a local restaurant with free wi-fi access. _________________ Cachin' with my sweetie...

fortunately, i didn't have to find a wifi spot for google yet (honestly, i don't even use wireless). i have experienced my (rented) servers down or the access provider down, but i cannot remember that google was ever not available.
poor guys! it is ironic too, that is someone else trying to prevent you from consistently/regularly providing a show. i really really appreciate your efforts to put up a show every week on monday. i it always great in life when you can rely on people (or what they do). thank you so much for that! have a nice weekend. _________________ *** a cache a day keeps the doc away. *** |

When I have problems like that at work, I remote desktop into my severs at home.
When I have that problem at home, I fire up my wireless cantenna, and see which neighbors aren't using the same ISP as me. (For those of you wondering, I've helped out a few of my neighbors getting their wireless networks setup and secured so I'm authorized to access.) |

It's Sunday morning and our service provider has fixed the problem and we are able to access Google again.
The image below was what we saw when we went to their update page all day Saturday:

Hmmmm, looks like the WiFi spot of choice just might happen to be a Panera. MrsZ uses them as her office when away from the office on a regular basis!
Glad it's a temporary situation and you're back up and running! |

mmmm Panera. Now I'm hungry. Thanks.
Glad you're up and running again. I don't know if I could handle a Monday without Sonny and Sandy! _________________ HOOAH! |
