Sorry to hear about the low sales of the coins. I ordered a bronze not too long ago. Cant wait to get it. Just gotta realize that money is tight everywhere. Things may change though, so don't lose heart. Anytime I can , I try to promote the show to cachers who have never heard of Podcacher.
Very cool interview with GeoJunky.
Some would have still gone for that cache where the sail boaters were. You just never know, you may have met some already cachers in the group, or even maybe made some sail boaters into geocachers, if you had been discovered by them. Guess it just all depends on how you feel.
Glad you guys had a good day kayaking. And I know what you mean about the muscles. I cleaned the yard over the weekend and my legs & arms hurt the next day. Can tell it is spring.
I can't wait till the WWFM. I was going to host my own, but thought it would be more fun to go to the one Johnstown, PA. It will be a friend of mine's first WWFM. I got us both WWFM V coins to share.
Before you know it, Sean will be walking. This past weekend was my nephew's birthday and he just turned 1. We had a great time letting him tear into his Elmo cake. He gets around very well and walks every chance he can. Just gotta remember, all kids develop at different rates. But it sounds like Sean is about ready to just about walk.
Great show guys. _________________ I am Sparticus! |

I know that buried caches are rather controversial, but you described the one you found while kayaking as buried in sand - which tends to be rather loosely compacted compared to soil. According to the guidelines:
| Quote: |
| If a shovel, trowel or other "pointy" object is used to dig, whether in order to hide or to find the cache, then it is not appropriate. |
So were you able to dig it out with your hands? _________________

Excellent! You make a very good point (no pun intended, it just happened).
Although it was clearly buried, they did NOT need a shovel, trowel or other "pointy" object to hide or find the cache.
So ... is this a legitimate cache? Whadaya think? _________________ Have you found it yet? |

I kinda like the idea of finding one in the sand it gives it a true sense of finding treasure _________________

You joke there was one or two caches hidden in Namibia and the sand shifts all the time, so they could eventually not be found _________________
