While listening to your story about hunting down your mystery cache, I kept wondering if you already had all of that information on the cache page.
Our reviewers insist on having coords for all stages of the multi, and the actual coordinates for the final listed under 'additional waypoints'.
These of course can be hidden from other users, but you can then look at them any time you're logged in and viewing your own cache pages. Saves having to keep a separate file on your caches like we used to have to do!
A cache maintenance idea: in the past, we put together about 100 'cache maintenance' packages as trade items we've dropped in caches. We included a regular size log book, baggies, a micro log book & baggie, stash sheet, rubberbands, golf pencils, a pen and a mechanical pencil. We got most of the stuff at Staples on sale, and could make them for just under $1 each. |

Listening to your show now. Had to post that I love the quote from "So I married an ax murder", one of my favorite movie quotes. |

Old, archived caches which have been abandoned, can be "rescued". The NCGO website (www.ncgeocachers.org) has a special Rescue section, where they list these caches with info if you want to pick them up. |

Great show! Love the topic on cache mainteanance. Also you guys are close to 1000! May I suggest GCJV78;Yosemite's Wonders? It's a 1/1 Virtual Cache with a great view of Half Dome? Just throw an meet and gret event and make that your 1000 cache? We the listeners bring gifts for your 1000 gold box? |
