Waiting for the feed to hit Itunes. I can't wait. I will just download the mp3 now.

Check out this cache http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=7f9359ad-dbf2-4989-bc1e-104099398c6a It is still there. Great Halloween cache in Chino Hills, CA.

The short answer: it varies.

Normally we record our audio on Saturday night.

I then usually edit the show on Sunday and Sandy creates the shownotes for you.

Coming back from our cruise, we were very short on time. We recorded our audio on Sunday later and I edited it later that I would've normally preferred.

As one who often attempts to be FTP I'm the forum, I can say that it seems to post around 10 PM to midnight EST in the USA.

We happened to be the last official finders of the Halloween cache mentioned on your show. Check out the photos below and you can judge for yourself if it looked realistic or "full-sized" (for reference, my dog weighs 16#). The cache owner has put out this very popular Halloween series for the last couple of years and put a ton of work into the creative containers. It's too bad this one got such bad press and pretty ridiculous, IMO, how the authorities reacted. So guess what? No Halloween caches this year Sad

Congratulations on the milestone anniversary!

Belvoir is pronounced the same as Beaver. What, that wasn't obvious? Smile

Found GCYWEN in April this year and it is a great cache that includes a great article promoting geocaching in the local paper, per the cache description. Lots of fun logs to read too. Hopefully, a SoCal group will form to go find that one on Saturday eve (10/31)! Confused

As for the show and Halloween, another cache we found in San Jose in April 2004 comes to mind that fits this spooky show theme. Had we recalled it, would have submitted it for the contest. Unfortunately, the mystery cache, GCHGQH, was archived this year, but the logs are still there, including pictures we took of a ghostly woman's image and orbs digitally captured in two separate rooms. Shocked This is not a photo-shop joke, but the real deal. It is posted there for your listeners to review and judge what the camera reveals:

Here is a new Whereigo by our own JJG10101 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e11412c0-63da-4f64-b7ef-67979f70c2eb&log=y&decrypt=

Called Winchester Mystery Cottage. It was a lot of fun to take groups around who did not have the hardware to play.

If you can't make back up to NoCal anytime soon, here's another (Almost A Winchester Mystery House - GC1DET1) themed cache to visit as a waypoint, enroute to JJG10101's WhereIgo in Riverside, which sounds cool per the logs! Very Happy

Cache on!

After listening to the first "scary story" here's my parallel universe story:

"Dear Podcacher. Back in November 2005 a friend of mine approached me about playing a prank in the middle of the night on a dozen of his pals, many of whom usually carry loaded weapons when hunting flashlight caches.

There we were. It was pitch black. We had just finished setting up all of the elaborate Satanic decorations and couldn't wait until we had an opportunity to scare the crap out of these armed ex-military veterans! Soon enough we had our opportunity... we listened as the cachers discovered our pentagrams, candles and sacrificial altar - even our hatchets! - and then started screaming madly at them from the woods! It was hilarious. But it was even funnier after the cachers cut their lights and retreated off the path, and the lot of us started rushing at them from the woods in the dark of night, screaming like crazy generally terrifying them!

Unfortunately, my friend (who led the charge) was shot square in the chest and died instantly, and four other members of our group were wounded in the ensuing gunfire. So that put a bit of a damper on things. But overall we chalked it up to a well-thought-out night of fun!"

OMG! addisonbr great story. Well these things happen. We have found when hiking in the woods to always have the weakest member in back in-case a bear is chasing us, it gives us more time to get away. I think I heard that as a tip from one of the HOG shows about Hazards of Animals when caching.

Well Stay safe or at least as safe as you can and have a fun Halloween tomorrow.
