2010 Podcacher Secret Santa Gift Exchange

Hey Podcacher Listeners!

It’s the middle of October with subtle reminders that the Holidays are just around the corner and you all know what that means - the 2010 Podcacher Secret Santa needs to get underway.

Step 1: To get in on all the fun you will need to send an email to me at PapaEGTH@gmail.com expressing interest in the gift exchange. If there are multiple participants in your household that wishes to particpate then please list all that are interested in joining. If you post interest in the forums then please follow up with an email - I will not send you a request for your information.

Step 2: I will send an email back to you asking you to verify your entry by providing me with the following information for each participant.
1. Your Geocaching handle
2. Name
3. Mailing address

Step 3: You must send back a reply to my email in order to be on THE LIST. The email you receive will have following subject line: You're on the 2010 Podcacher Secret Santa LIST!

The reason for the new method is because we had a Grinch last year and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they may not have received any of my emails with the giftee information. Thus I'm making sure you can receive emails from the above email account.

The deadline for entry was Sunday November 14, 2010, 8:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

If you asked to join in prior to November 13th and did not receive any message with a subject of: "You're on the 2010 Podcacher Secret Santa LIST!" then send me a message through the Podcacher forums as a secondary method of communcation.

If you have Geocaching related interests (for example: geocoins, Pathtags, creative containers, etc) then feel free to note them in your 2nd message with your personal information. While it won’t guarantee you’ll get any of it, I'll relay the information to your secret Santa.

I will make all efforts to send out Secret Santa Giftee notifications by November 16, 2010. It will depend on the number of participants and any last minute entries.

A reminder to all: most postal services require some type of disclosure form when sending packages out of the country.

As a general rule try to have your gift delivered on or before December 21st. If you think (or know!) your gift will arrive late then send me an email at PapaEGTH@gmail.com and I will be happy to relay an anonymous message to your Giftee. If you have not received your package by December 31st, then I urge you contact me so that I can see if your Santa had to make some untimely repairs to their sleigh.

I don't recall the exact number but I beleive we had around 30 participants last year. Like Sonny and the WWFMs, I'd love to see increasing particpation. I'm hoping there will be over 40 this year.

All names, postal addresses, and email addresses will be used solely for the purposes of activities related to the 2010 Secret Santa. The database containing this information will be deleted at the end of March 2010. All emails with your personal information will also be deleted from my email account at that time.

I would like to advise everyone that has posted that they're "in" to email me (as per the first post) if they haven't already!

So far I have 7 on the LIST and am awaiting for a reply from 5 others.

I have been registered for a while on here,but things got hectic. But now things are clearing up, so I would def. like to participate in this. count me in. I am sending my email to you now. I hold an annual geocaching cachemas event in my town each year, and we do a secret santa at them, and I have a good time with it. so this is just another bonus! cant wait.
