I enjoyed hearing the second part of the interview about the First To Find book. I'd like to get it and want to order it through Amazon. Will it be added to the Podcacher Amazon store? _________________ Go Jackets!

I was at the Austin autograph party for FTF. Like Mark said there were people swearing up and down that this character was Moosiegirl and that one was The Outlaw. And there were people talking about the events which some of the events in the book were based on. It was a really fun event, and I look forward to the next one when the sequel comes out.
BTW, lots of people were getting their books autographed. I saw one person get their Kindle case autographed. Bet that was a first. |

OK, A few thoughts on this weeks show:
First of all, the discussion on caching and GPS Usage affects on brain was interesting. A Friend of mine told me about a show he saw on PBS Sunday night about the brain and trying to slow the effects of Alzheimer's Disease, and he said they spoke extensively about geocaching and how it can help to do so. I haven't had time to see if I can find that show and check it out.
As far as the FBI slapping that tracking device on that dudes' car -- here's a funny story. I have a brother that works in law enforcement. He said that they will sometimes use those devices to track the movements of known drug dealers. He told me once about a fellow officer who once put one of those device on a dealer's car. One morning he came into work and logged in to check the location, it showed that said dealer's car was right in the parking lot of the police station. They went outside to check it out, and found that the dealer had apparently found the device and managed to place it on the vehicle of the agent who had tagged him.
As a parent of teenagers who will soon be driving, I'm considering getting one of these tracking systems for my vehicles and not telling the kids it is installed. _________________ If you ain't first, you're last!!

My favorite authors are Patrick O'Brian (of course) and Dick Francis. I realize they don't fit in the thriller category, but my favorites nonetheless. |
