Should be up now. There is always a delay between creating the forum post and releasing the show. I try to make the delay as short as possible for all you forum-FTP hounds!!

I went and downloaded the show this morning and threw it onto my mp3 player before I left. I was gonna listen to it while I was at work. Got to the jobsite and realized that I forgot my headphones in the car...40 miles away at the shop! Oh well, got to listen to half of it this afternoon, cool story about sending the cache up with a weather balloon!

The audio for the interview with the Sputnik cache was really bad and almost impossible to hear clearly, esp with the windows slightly open in my car. I know it was an internet or cell phone call. Wish there was a way to clean it up. Made this weeks almost unbearable/unlistenable and found myself skipping thru some of the interview.

Cool story. The only other non-government balloon project like this is the IHAB - Iowa High Altitude Balloon project which is able to be tracked by Amateur (Ham) Radio operators who hear the payload's beacon transmitter. There are also those popular micro cache film canisters that are used that hold individual science experiments. http://www.ihabproject.com/ |
