Bomb Scares - For my bigger caches I'musing either Tupperware type containers that are mostly see through, or peanut butter jars that I don't completely tape up. If you put out a cache that the contents can be seen, maybe it won't get blown up. Also may help if you write geocache all over it. Not being a bomb squad guy, I can't say all that is fact that will ensure the livelihood of your cache, but it's the belief I'm working from.
Goals - They're just goals. If you're not having fun trying to complete them the way you set them the rewrite them. I had fun completing the calender challenge. Instead of doing that challenge in one year, you might change it to 2 or 3 (or more) years. Instead of filling out your D/T chart (the Fizzy Challenge), you might want to cut it down to just the whole number combinations (the Champagne Challenge) or maybe just all of one difficulty of terrain level. Goals are there to be fun, give us a challenge, and improve as cachers. They're not there to make us feel gulity or miserable. |

Heard you talking about the TinTin movie and possible caches on the theme - the monkey (Cecil) & I have a TinTin and Snowy cache that we posted in 2007. It's actually a tribute to Snowy as it's in a place he might like to visit and relax and is part of the "Comics you should read" series. |
