Although I think it may help prebent a situation from getting too far out of hand, I don't think painting all the military markings on an ammo can will solve problems with bomb squads.
No matter what is written on a container, if the bomb squad can't see in it, or they see something they don't like or are unsure of, you can bet your next paycheck that container is going to be in little bitty pieces.
The solutions are pretty simple. Use containers that have a place where you can see in them. Only use as much camo as is necessary. If you're going to use an ammo can use it at a private residence or at a state park where everyone involved knows what it is. |

Well besides spray painting over all the Ammo Cartridge ... Info. Also using a Stencil like what I've done here, I believe would help alleviate most of the fears that it's a potential bomb.
I believe the Texas State parks require them to be marked in such a manner for an Ammo Can to be allowed to be placed in the parks. _________________ I'd rather be caching!

Thank you so much for the geotribes link. I didn't think there was anything like this and now I know that one of my coins has gone 22000 miles and is bouncing all over the place. What a wonderful tool it is! _________________ UncleWallace |

I listen to PodCacher while driving to caches to get ready for the day's adventures. On Tuesday, I was driving to my first cache of the day and the milestones sections was playing. What a surprise it was to hear Spannerjaxs' mention of his logging the Turkey Cache just as I was pulling into the parking lot for the Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve.
I also managed to find the Turkey Cache as well as the rest of the caches in the preserve. I also got to see some nice views of the fall foliage and a little glimpse of New York City in the distance. |

Okay, I tried out the new contest entry method. Not too bad. I even reconnected to my twitter account. Hope I did it right (I'm not a frequent twitterer type).
Oh, in other news, I finished week 1 of the "Couch to 5k" program. Hearing Sonny and Sandy talk about it occasionally finally got me motivated to give it a try. |
