FTF is just the click of a box in GSAK. Doesn't matter who logs on the site first. Some times it doesn't even matter who logged on the paper first. |

Sonny mentioned keeping a record/photo of the tracking number for TBs and geocoins. That tracking number is always available to the owner on the TB page. It’s to the right of the owner information in the “trackable options” section, just below “view in Google Earth.” |

I heard the request for caches that were "game themed." We had a couple of really neat series here in Maryland. At one time there was a series of caches modeled after "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" GC11NYG 15 caches, each one leading to the next "dollar value" - each one a puzzle that could be solved relatively easily in the field. Completing them in one day took the better part of a morning and included a very 10-12 mile hike.
We also have a great puzzle hider, woodysix8, down here in southern Maryland who put together a series of caches called "The Quest for Pieces." (GCYXFD) This was a series of 9 puzzles had the finders solving puzzles based upon board games like Battleship, Clue, Yathzee, Bingo & Monopoly. It even involved one of my favorite card games "Cribbage." After finding each individual cache, the finder who pick up a puzzle piece that at the end would be put together to solve the final. Again another favorite series. Actually this series was in followup to his popular "Scrabble Scramble", GCNFNY, cache in which cachers found a series of puzzles to obtain "letters", like Scrabble, to use in finding the next in the series. Actually this series has to be my all time favorite.
But unfortunately each of these series has been archived. But they were a lot of fun while they were out. _________________

Those sounded like cool caches! I love the creativity of geocaching / geocachers! Takes a little time, but can be worthwhile for the smiles! _________________ Have you found it yet? |

We outfitted my mother-in-law with a Spot Tracker, just in case
She has been on a hiking trip to Nepal, dogsledding above the Arctic Circle, hiking amongst the black bears in Kamchatka, walking thru Death Valley ... she still keeps finding her way home _________________ Podcacher Supporting Member

I've put out maybe four dog tag travel bugs, and half have gone missing. That's only two, but that's a 50% loss rate! Putting the tracking number on another object and sending it out as a replacement is a great idea, but I don't know what object would be fun, porous enough to allow the number being applied with Sharpie, and small enough for most caches. _________________ DNF Hound

I don't know the GC number, but the geocacher was OckmentBells, so if you are curious, you could contact him through geocaching.com _________________ Cachin' with my sweetie...
